I have the 15" Rhein alloys, with 215/70s, and I was thinking about the
spacer kit that GoWesty sell -
http://www.gowesty.com/ec_view_details.php?id=4304, 8mm, to have the
rears line up with the fronts.

What you really want is wider tire/wheel combination to maintain the same offset so the center load of the tire is still close to the designed location. Simply moving the tire-wheel outward will increase the loading on the bearings. I don’t know what difference a 1/2 inch to an inch will make but that is a significant design change for a stub shaft with the bearings such a short distance apart. An 8" wide wheel with a 20-25mm offset may work real nice here. I think this flare kit will go real nice with my 235/55-17 on 7-1/2 wheels with the 25mm offset. Just barley clear the sliding door in back and the mud flaps in front.
