Yes, and the only thing I can see that would work is shimming out the bottom hinge to change the angle of the door. I've not had this problem on my '84 or current '85, but my son's '87 has it, and on all of the late model Vanagons we looked at the doors sagged and scraped on the top of the wheel well.

I think the A pillar base structure must be made of lighter steel, or the plastic vent cover is thicker on the '86-'91 vans!

I'll be giving this a try soon.

My drivers side front door has a little bit of sag. It feels like it comes off resting n the latch when opened. I have adjusted front doors a few times, and I understand the adjustments allowed in the system. But what I need is sort of like shimming the hinge plates or getting new hinge pins.

You know what I mean? As if the hinge pins are loose enough to allow a little drop when door opened.

It's a very little amount right now, but I'd like to deal with it. Does anyone understand what I am trying to explain and have a solution?
