You could loosen the bolts and stick in a trimmed plastic tapered
carpenter's shim while a helper lifts up the door. Then tighten down the
bolts gently, and see if however far you shoved it down gap is enough. When
you get it right you should be able to see a mark on the shim to measure the
thickness, or just slide it between the bolt heads and the flange while
holding the door up.
Or you could just try a 1/8" shim. I'll bet that works perfectly!

What thickness of shim stock did you use, and do you know, or estimate how
much lift gained from x amount of shim?
Btw, I just miked a soda can aluminum wall at 4 thou.
