I recall separating the combustion box from pipes and partially damaging the gaskets. I put the parts together and used a layer of red RTV at outside edge flange to seal up the gaskets between exhaust and intake pipes to combustion chamber. This held up for some time. There is also a pair of half moon metal bits used in conjunction with the big brass nut to hold the (exhaust?) pipes together.

has a ton of pics and info on the older 182A he resurrected. It should show details on intake-exhaust pipes etc. Some of this info should apply to the 182B.
