I did that, then removed it after further consideration. I know they are kids, and smaller than adults. The anchor points should be adequate. But, if it were legit, VW probably would have included it. I did put in GoWesty shoulder belts. To use the driver side one, one has to make sure that the cargo in the closet does not impede its operation. I consider those a legit modification, given that the anchor points are there and used in non-camper models.
