It isn't the new gas itself, but something related to the lines, whether full or not.  Whenever I get a new fill, I have to purge the lines of air by running the stove a few minutes.  The stove lights, but sputters a bit (does not go out) before settling into a steady burn.  Then I can light the refrigerator.  More than one person on here gave me the advice to do that.  It might also have to do with how long the system has sat since last being operated.
