One caveat: You would have had to buy 40 identical cars and allocate half randomly to the Rotella and half randomly to whatever gasoline engine oil you chose. You would then have to drive each vehicle identically. Then your results would apply only to Rotella and the other oil, not all oils. There are other ways of doing the experiment, but replication is essential.
