Hmmm... . Here is the pricing and service list for AAA Washington. It is identical to the service list in Oklahoma. I was under the impression that this did not vary nationally. How could it? One of the selling points is that one is covered nationally. I would have linked to your Mid-Atlantic service, but whenever I try to do that, the program responds by saying, "Connecting to your local AAA Club."

Of course, if you speak with a dispatcher, and cannot get a truck dispatched, then you are up a stump, with no option but to register a complaint (and claim?) later. However, it is probable that as with most call-in services, you will encounter a different dispatcher with the next call. After all, when I called AAA and I was in Arkansas, the person who answered was in Arizona. How do I know? I asked, when the person asked me what time it was where I was. When I transferred my membership to Washington, the AAA office in Spokane told me to continue to use the card I have from Oklahoma and to continue to call the number on the card for service.

All of this said, will AAA respond when you have driven 30 miles past the 4WD only barricade on Padre Island National Sea Shore? No, the beach is not a public road within the National Park. It is legal to drive there, but not a maintained public road. You'll pay dearly for that extraction and tow. Ask me how I know. That was not with my camper btw, but with a friend's 4wd vehicle, me driving because I "had more beach experience," than the friend, and he preferred that I drive.
