The most important difference is electrical. The air cooled injectors have 4 ohm coils and there is a resistor as part of the circuit. The water boxer injectors have 16 ohm coils and the ECU switches the 12 volts directly. Using the air cooled injectors on the water boxer will work for some time until you burn up the ECU. Dennis
