When the switch starts going bad it get stuck and start rolling the window up continuously after it's been rolled up. You have to stop it. Eventually it will burn out the motor. So if this ever starts happening even once, then roll it up and take the switch out. Otherwise you might end up with a problem with a stuck open window. You can always let the inability to roll down the act as a reminder to buy a new switch. I gave up on the front windows rolling up/down because it just scratches the glass of seems. So mine are stuck rolled up intentionally.
