Mark et al.

Given the size and design difference in connectors, and possible lower load, this is probably unlikely but on Vanagons with the older style fuse panels, have others seen these same symptoms caused by a burned 15 power connection and-or wire from fuse panel to coil etc. ?

I'll be helping a friend clean up engine bay grounds on his higher mileage '85 1.9 WBX engine. Though the bus runs ok, he made mention of very brief random engine cutouts at highway speeds. From what I understood, it really sounded like an electrical issue. AFAIK, the 1.9 isn't susceptible to Vanagon Syndrome so Mark's comments rang a bell with me.

Thanks

Neil.
