      Do the opening on the front doors have an aluminum bright trim or is the door opening all black? 
      If Chrome you will need to change to the all black runs which require either cutting the trims at the opening or also change the vent seals as they are different as well.
      I wouldn't paint a van without removing the squirters as well. If careful you can twist them out and tie off the hoses so as not to lose them. At a minimum remove the wiper shaft cover nuts as well so you can get a proper mask.
      You can turn a mediocre paint job to a nice one by spending a few hours removing items which allows the peppers to get all of the surface and not end up with a paint line .
