My '88 appears to use an '87 wiring diagram. So..... < shrugs > Changeovers happened in different months in different markets?

It's an easy part to test out. Remove steering column cover, remove plug from ignition switch, plug in new test switch, turn switch with appropriate sized screwdriver.

Don't drive it this way unless key is in tumbler turned to ign. on position!

(unlocks steering. I know. Probably didn't have to mention this. ha ha)
