Not a bad idea. I'm just afraid that something (firewood) or someone's foot is going to break off that toggle soon. And there goes another $35. I'm thinking of making a guard out of a piece of 1/2 copper pipe and cap with a hole drilled in it. I'll paint it fluorescent red.

I carved out two openings in the sides of my stock one on the '84 to allow me to switch it off by hand if necessary without having to get a bent paperclip behind it.
