I notice that the '85 Microbus badge is in slanted letters. The later bus had upright block letters, which is the badge I have.

the badge fonts changed in '84. the earlier badges had the slanted lettering and the volkswagen badge without the round vw logo emblem. the later '84 up badges had the more modern "shadowed' style block lettering and the volkswagen badge included the vw logo.
