I pulled the Westy into a line of semis once, in ?Pennsylvania? Asked the trooper at the head of the line could I get weighed? My recollection is that he looked a bit startled, and there may or may not have been a consultation, but he told me to pass through and then park on the other side. I having done so, he led me to a stairway and said "down there." I went down the stair and found myself in a concrete tunnel with no visible end. It must have crossed under the highway. I walked, and walked, and fairly abruptly it opened upward. And before I could figure what to do, a window popped open overhead and down came my weigh slip on a string. I took it and made another cross-country tunnel hike. And then I was back in the real world, blinking in the sunlight. It was surreal, I think the oddest thing that's happened on the road.

Yrs, David
