I recently did one of my half-shafts and the first bolt I tried to torque with my 1/2" drive Craftsman, I stripped the hex. I found out that it was out of calibration. I used my other Craftsman "clicker" and finished the job. I ended up carefully taking apart it apart and re-calibrating it using sandbags of known weight. Another issue is the 25 lb-ft needed for CV bolts is at the starting point of my wrench and "clickers" are not very accurate at the lower torque settings. My latest purchase should fill the gap between my two other wrenches. (I do have a couple beam types too. Just not convenient to read when you are laying on your back with chassis crud in your eye.)
