For an easy snorkel replacement, or in my case, figuring out one in the
first place.... google Brake cooling duct...or try any of the racer
houses...Spring-wound, flexible, water and heat proof.    I just ran a
piece of wire down the passenger d pillar with the vent grill still on.....
and tied one end of that ducting on, pulled it up the pillar and  for now,
I simply wired a U-bend so the hose's opening points back down, keeping
rain or spray out of the hose....The other end just goes onto the air
cleaner housing snorkel...It does help with power (optimal combustion)  to
get cold air into the intake. tract...verifiable...dyno

   Other brake fluid subject:  Brake fluid with moisture in it DOES turn to
steam....at 212f, which is well below what most brakes will see under heavy
use...The moisture turns to steam, that makes bubbles, pedal goes soft....
   I still use normal BF in my Vanagon but I change it a couple times a
year...
