Friday extension: WA is considering allowing this, now that the Seattle metro area has the nation's third worst traffic. I doubt it will pass, but it will someday. We can have 60 miles of stop and go traffic on I-5 in the afternoons. Here is the idea: "Washington state's proposed law would allow motorcyclists to occasionally ride the stripes between cars when traffic is moving under 25 mph. Because it would be limited to traffic jams, bikers could not travel more than 35 mph at their top speed when passing between lanes." |
