I have to say that after a few months near the LA/San Diego/Tijuana metroplex and spending a bit of time on those freeways.....riding a moto amongst those drivers....that takes some brass ones. And yet, there are a lot of bikes out there, zipping around, passing the cars that are also going 80.....if it is not grid lock at the time. I see no valid reason that riders should be prohibited from splitting lanes....it's their life....and it doesn't slow the rest of us down....unless they get smooshed....that doesn't seem to happen much....surprisingly....
