Subject: Flashers
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

Thursday, on the way to take my van to get it restored, rust removed, paint etc I had an occasion to use the emgencey flashers as the car I was following (wife) had to stop on the side of a farm road. Anyway, when I pushed the flasher switch, the red light came on and stayed steady and I heard a funny noise so, turned it off in case it was getting hot.

My question is, does the emgencey flashers use the same flasher unit as the turn signals or does it have it's own flasher unit just for the flashers?

Is their perhaps another reason the emgencey flashers were just staying on and not flashing?

Thank you for any help on this matter.

Chris
