I've rode for most of my adult life and I'm almost 56. Splitting lanes is very safe if done right, and by done right I mean rolling up between slow moving cars. But pulling up to a light three across is stupid! So is weaving between cars.

What I don't understand is why car drivers get upset. It's not my fault they are stuck in traffic. If anything a biker is helping the situation by not adding another car to the mix!

I was actually joking but lane splitting seems pretty dumb. There were three bikes lined up in a row at the red light. The last one had a tough time clearing the porsche and Maserati in front. I watched from the appropriate distance in my rented Chrysler town and country.
