Motorcyclists call enclosed vehicles "Cages" sometimes. Perhaps the Cage-drivers are mad at a motorcyclist because they are just mad at everything, and seeing someone roll ahead of THEM...they often simply flip out...

It is much worse, the Cage-Rage, when you are on a pedal bike....You would not believe some of the nasty, off the wall stuff I have encountered, coming from motorists, over the years, as a bicyclist.

As for people "seeing" you when you are on a motorcycle....I think there must be a disconnect between eyes and brain in some drivers...It is frequent that drivers will *see* a motorcycle coming along and simply blow off the fact that bike is there. You can even see it happening..They look right, they look left..see you coming, look right again and then they just pull out anyhow...They will also often pass with bikes coming at them in the oncoming traffic lane (this one happens very frequently), .and simply engage the "Tonnage Rule" if they think at all........They figure THEY aren't going to be killed or maimed if the motorcyclist does not get out of THEIR way, so "F-em" seems to be the normal mindset amongst a lot of Cagers..

Vanagon content?...Hmmm, Ahhh! "Normal" drivers do the same thing to Vanagons....Notice that?...They will see us coming and pull out right in front of you...
