Only NADA goes way back, like to 1942.

Best to get an appraisal, and if you don't have anyone in your area familiar
with Vanagon Westy's Go Westy's service is better than nothing:

Has anyone looked up book value on their vanagon? I've tried online but NADA
and KBB only go back to 92. I can't find a value for free online and if I
spend money for information about my car it is not going to be for one line
in a book full of cars!!!
I know my 84 westy is priceless and have no intention of selling it!!! My
insurance broker always talks about "older vehicle" when talking about
coverage. That worries me should I ever have an "incident"!!
I wonder how much value we, as owners, add because we know what market is
for our respective vehicles.
