Yes you can. Both the Mann and the Mahle are OE filters that have the correct anti-drainback valve designed to prevent oil starvation during startup, as required by Volkswagen for use on the Wasserboxer engine. This is what differentiates them from the Golf/Jetta filter that will also physically fit. We sell them for $4.29 each.
