Just as a heads up to the "old heads" who think they have their finger on the pulse of online trends...

Mailing lists for as far back as 1997 have sent out notices to list members reminding them of their subscription status and how to change it.

The default has been to not alter but inform and allow for new information to alter the listserv view.

Please let's not lead by anecdote where yours is bigger (or in this case older) than mine.
