Continuing my saga of weeding out my horrible flat spot on acceleration, I have replaced relays, fuel pump, all intake gaskets, refurbished the idle air valve, vacuum can on the distributor, every vacuum hose, and there's probably more. I just installed the new throttle body the other day, and while the flat spot was unaffected, I did regain the ability to adjust the idle, which was nice. The next thing was that the air flow meter (AFM) needed to be tested. Guess what? The thing failed its test. Wild readings just off idle. So I opened the lid, and looked to adjust the carbon track. It's already been adjusted once... The new track now has a problem. Ugh. Does anybody have a known good 1.9 AFM they'd like to sell? I am having a hard time driving the ol' girl with this issue.
