It should still start without the TB switch. Mine did when it was completely out of adjustment.

But anyway, the better way is to remove the whole mess and clean & and adjust it, but you can try per Bentley. Left screw locks it, and right one adjusts it IIRC. My hearing ain't so good, so I used an ohm meter to check that the switch is closed in both full throttle and closed throttle position and open in between. Removing the TB also allows you to clean it and adjust the throttle set screw per Bentley.

Might need a new TB seal too, mine was hard as a rock and leaked a bit when I re-installed it: http://www.gowesty.com/ec_view_details.php?id=20269&category_id=&category_parent_id=

After 5 days of torrential rain, I went to start my 2.1L WBX and it was no go. Turned but wouldn't fire - not even a little bit, not even once.

I broke out my trusty ECU monitor, hooked it up, and there it was. The thottle switch light failed to lite up, signifying I had a throttle switch problem. I had a look at it and realized I didn't rember anything about how to fix it or adjust it, even though several years ago I went through it with TJ Hannick.

Anyone with suggestions at this point? I'm not impressed with the drawings in the Bentley. Gotta be something better.

Thanks,

John
