After the 600 mile round trip this weekend to Everybus, I'm looking for seat upgrades/alternatives. My 30 year old stock seats just aren't that comfortable to my 57 year old butt & back. Does new seat foam really help? As for seat alternatives, my problem there is my 6'4" height. I really can't go with too thick of a seat cushion as my head almost touches the roof now! TIA, Jeff

jeff, you didn't say hear but IIRC u have a 85 or 86 westy weekender.... which came with the shreddy tan corderoy.. those seats are junk ,, ditch them (save the headrests and armrests) and get some '85 up seats from a GL passenger van.

if you still hate the GL seats, then go with eurovan seats.. they fully recline..and slide into the vanagon tracks with a simple modification.... if you hate those.. well then get out the die cutter and spot welder and you can make anything work :)

ive seen someone use heated leather seats out of a volvo 850/S70 up to '01. very comfy.. they even wired up the seat heaters... the nice thing about the volvo seats is that they dont sit up high and have low bolsters.. but these arent a bolt in deal though.

ive also seen people use Recaro sport seats out of a mk2 jetta/Golf GLI/GTI but the bolsters are really high so IMO theyre not the most practical..
