I had a friend who is an art student restore the rear Vanagon GL and
Volkswagen emblems for me.  She did a really nice job painting them and
then she clear coated them.  If you are interested I could see if she would
be willing to do some more.  I have a bunch of faded emblems here so I
would just get her to redo one of them and then exchange for yours.  It
would be about $59 each.
