I had the reverse - manual driveshafts on an automatic - and didnąt even
know it. Only found out when the driveshafts and cv joints were replaced.
Not sure when it happened (previous, previous owner, I guess), but they
were the same length, not different lengths. I am sure it didnąt do them
any good, but it workedŠ Now it is set up properly.
Incidentally, the replacement axles/cv joints were faulty and (luckily) it
was caught immediately and new replacements were ordered/installed right
away. My mechanic changed suppliers (more cost), but łate˛ the labour on
the second replacement. Unfortunately, I canąt tell you the names of the
bad OR the good axels. I am sure there is more expertise on this front
here in the group than I have, anyway.
