Don... manual transaxle rebuilding is very, VERY advanced work.

'if anything' ..get a dead trans for free somewhere to practice on. Then you'll see how tricky and demanding a task this is.

Unless you've done this sort of thing before...and numerous times, don't even think of pulling yours trans and taking it apart.

I suggest you find the fundage to pay for it, and take it to German Transaxle in Bend .. or whoever you might find in Portland. Somewhere under $ 2,000 hopefully.

oh btw..since ring and pinion was mentioned.. the first thing they do at GTA is look at the R & P ..if it's shot .. you have a bit of a serious issue there let's say.
