I ended up getting the National Luna 50, which is a fridge w/ a small freezer section. Was expensive, but does work very well, is easily removable on a mounting plate, and draws only a few amps. Adding an insulated cover around it helps as well. These seem to be favored by the expedition crowd, but the overall features & size fit nicely in the van. Jon
