I bow to Davids knowledge and skills but am somewhat adept at reading the diagrams.

What I do with electrical parts in hand, well.... "zap". ha ha. ;)

Though it took some prodding from others, getting into the habit of reading diagrams in neighbouring model years has helped me. e.g. my '88 seems to use '87 wiring.
