There is a very attractive young lady in our community who drives an old
beetle painted up in the very best 60s flower child patina. My 8 year old
grandson is in love with her and her car. Every time she and I pass on the
street and I am in my Westy I get the peace sign from her.


Today I pulled up behind her at a stop light and out her window came her
peace sign and mine in return. I looked around to see the bemused and
baffled drivers around the busy intersection who must have wondered what
decade they had been sucked into.
