I had the reverse - manual driveshafts on an automatic - and didnąt even know it. Only found out when the driveshafts and cv joints were replaced. Not sure when it happened (previous, previous owner, I guess), but they were the same length, not different lengths. I am sure it didnąt do them any good, but it workedŠ Now it is set up properly.

Incidentally, the replacement axles/cv joints were faulty and (luckily) it was caught immediately and new replacements were ordered/installed right away. My mechanic changed suppliers (more cost), but łate˛ the labour on the second replacement. Unfortunately, I canąt tell you the names of the bad OR the good axels. I am sure there is more expertise on this front here in the group than I have, anyway.
