I need to be clear, current draw I measured was with unit off, no display.

The reason , I think, that I see a 110mA draw with face plate on, power off, display off, is that I have a remote control for the head unit and I bet the unit is maintaining some sort of readiness to accept the remotes signal.

I have the head unit wired to the aux battery, and it is wired so it will work key on or off. Works for me camping.
