All the plastic coolant system parts are there to save the manufacturer money, and we get to pay the price. IMHO, there should be NO plastic parts on any part of the engine that gets hot or is under pressure. All plastic is going to break down sooner or later, and sooner if it's heated and under pressure.

I applaud RMW for their permanent solution! If I had any money . . .

Four years ago when I showed this photo people also mentioned chronic cracking problems at the saddle between pressure cap and level sender.
