Subject: Need Info On Z-Bed Raised Hinges

I have a set of the z-bed hinges that raise the bed level. Often used when the engine lid needed to be raised to accommodate some engine conversions. I've been told that the hinges raise the bed four inches. What I need to know is is that correct? Is it four inches? More? Less? I obviously have not installed these hinges. But I really need to know, from someone that has actually installed/used a set, how much the bed is raised so that I know how much space is created above the engine hatch. Thanks
