Hi,
I have an automated archiving system so that I can have the list
available on my laptop when I don't have Internet connectivity. It
automatically makes a copy of any incoming emails into an "archive" folder.
I have all the list emails (that reached me) in a single file (per year)
in a very standard, text format called "mbox". This is the historical
format for email storage in the Unix world.
I've got archives back to about March 2006.
I did miss about a month in 2014 of email when my personal email server
was down & it was going to a backup and not getting archived.
2015 zips up to 5 meg.
$ ls -l
total 1571968

I'm not sure if anyone could benefit from this, but I thought I'd throw
it out there.
Cheers,
Steve Williams
