OK, so today I started out trying Skippers recommendation to supply shop air to the head and see what happens. It blew air out of the cam cap oil holes but that was about it. So I tried a quick and dirty thing of pulling the one head bolt that supplies to the oil to the head (behind the coolant flange) and blowing air through again. I got some black goop out of the hole but air did come out of the head and into the head bolt hole. So I put the head bolt back in, retorqued it and started up the engine. Still nothing. Oil pressure at the base but nothing at the head. Shut it down and pulled the head completely. It appears that someone used some either black RTV or heavy black grease on each head bolt where it went into the block. I am guessing this RTV is what was sealing up the bolt and not allowing oil to come up into the head. Tomorrow I am going to spin the oil pump over and see if oil bubbles out of the oil supply hole in the block. If it does then this should confirm my RTV blockage theory and then I will have to try to clean it out of the hole and hope that it will fix the problem. I spoke to the company I bought the motor through and my salesman didn't tell me but he went away on a vacation trip today and isn't going to be back until next Wednesday (nice). I talked directly to the boss and he says he is going to try to help me out. We will see.
