Hi all. This image: http://tinyurl.com/kbj2jhm shows early Vanagon spindles machined for a Jaguar caliper. This samba post: http://tinyurl.com/k6jgqz5 shows the jig he supplied to the machinist to aid in modifying the spindle and side by side measurements of early and late Vanagon spindles and hubs. Hopefully I'm not misunderstanding all this but with all that in mind, can the early steering spindle be machined in a similar manner to accept the later style Vanagon caliper? In Bentley, it looks like the early-late calipers have the same bolt spacing but I imagine rotor thickness may be one issue. Neil.
