After searching with no good answers, I have to request some help. I have both of my sliders out of the van. I have new window guides and felt to replace. Also, I'm gonna tint the glass. Now the window guides and the tint can be done with the glass still in the frame. But no way to replace the felt channels without removing the glass from the frame. The one side of the frame with the fixed glass has the break in it. But I'm to scared to attempt to pry that end apart and bend the frame or worse, never get it to seal up again. The seal that the slider runs in seems impossible to remove with the glass still in, so how is this done!?! I can only assume that someone has had the fixed glass broken and replaced, so it has to be feasable. Right? Anyone? |
