Dear Vanagonians

Was doing a survey of a sailboat and tonight as i write up the narrative i am looking more closely at the photographs associated with the vessel and here is what caught my eye the Chrysler Nissan Diesel engine has the same block shape and offset from 90degree mounting that my California Model 5 speed diesel had - very interesting - any of you guys who are engine geeks know about this style of engine - is it a bolt right in version suitable for those who want to achieve sail boat hull speed in vanagon ??
