Just beginning to plan a trip for early August down the Oregon coast from Vancouver Canada. We will be spending a few days on San Juan Island then driving south to Port Angeles and taking 101 West to Aberdeen and camping at one of the State Parks near there.

From there we will continue our way on 101 West down the Oregon Coast - possibly as far as Eureka by meandering over a few days.

On our way home we will head to Portland and then heading east on 84 to 97 where we would head north to highway 82 and get to Yakima. From there to Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee.

After that we will most likely just drive home back the Vancouver on the I-5 by heading to Everett.

We really enjoyed staying at Lake Wenatchee last year - anyway if anyone could recommend some great State Parks (there are many to choose from) and give us any suggestions I would be most appreciative especially on the Washington / Oregon coast leg of the trip - and whether there is anything around Yakima.

Lastly - any big passes to consider - other than Steven's pass on Highway 2?

All for now,

Bruce Todd
