I HAVE driven 2.2, 2.5, 3.0 and 3.3 converted vans. Nope, I'm still very happy with my choice, and it's hardly 'an old diesel vehicle'. Mine has a modern TDI powerplant, has a catalyst in place and runs quite clean. 20-22 mpg is attainable in well-tuned stock 2WD WBXers. :-) A 5800-lb Syncro Westy

getting 26-30 and ability to use alternative fuels while supplying twice wbx

torque? You're trying to convince the wrong guy. Diesel 'here' is same as gas, within a few cents, btw. Karl
