I can't recall which class of tubing I used but it was thicker wall tubing. It wasn't hard to bend, my 1st timer skills at doing this type of pipe install notwithstanding, and the install of one tube (am using a Truckfridge) went well.

It's my understanding that the driverside mudflap, in part, helps to protect the propane tubes. My '81 Westy was missing this flap. I have a spare I'll be installing soon. On that bus, I had a pro RV shop install new tubes from splitter block to appliances. They covered the tube with what appeared to be electrical wiring cover (black corrugated stuff). I doubt that material does much but up in here in BC Canada, it may be code??

Here's an image of a propane line on my '88 before I replaced the tank etc.

This bus had the driverside mud flap. But then who knows how that dent occurred? Then again, that mud flap was bent pretty bad.

Just sayin', not preachin'. I tend to worry too much about things like this. Regardless of good intentions, stuff can still happen! :)
