You need to measure pressure, not flow at this point. Get a fuel pressure gauge and follow the instructions in the Bentley. You need 30 psi, which is a lot. A gauge like the one below will work, but you need to cut the hose and slip it over the test port on the Vanagon fuel line. Use a hose clamp, and then buy a barbed coupling so you can put it back together for other cars. http://www.walmart.com/ip/14644670?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=2222222222700945996 2&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=40839102512&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=55136637769&veh=sem

Or, you could just buy a new fuel pump, that's likely your problem.

Suggestions please: Fuel delivery problem. If I squirt some fuel into the intake downstream of the AFM the engine starts right up and runs until the fuel is gone. I did the fuel pump rate test as per Bentley and had near zip output. Went through the system from the tank nipple (blasted some air in there to blow out any blockage-fuel runs fine,), Replaced the fuel filter, disconnected both ends of the post pump to "T-pipe" connector and blew out the line. Checked flow again at the pressure regulator return outlet. No flow. Removed the input hose from the T connector and ran the pump again. Good fuel flow to the T pipe but none at the return pipe connector. Engine still does not run. What do I do next? 83.5 water boxer, Thanks Don=
