FWIW, I have not been an active contributor, and also have been not dealing much with our Vanagon for a number of reasons. But that's changing and I would hate to see the list go away. I set up a dedicated gmail account for getting these messages (love the search function), and had not checked it in months and found last week that I had been unsubscribed in April due to a non-response. But that's all fixed now (unlike the never-ending fixing of Monty) and I hope to be able to continue to access the collective wisdom of the owner/operators of these vehicles across the world. I don't know nuthin' about no best place for such a collective... FB (that would not work well for me), perhaps a Google group (but I don't know the limitations on number of members, etc.)... I'll let that up to the wonderful people that have been keeping this Vanagon community on the interweb. With many thanks.
