That may be the best idea yet.  Members only, and primarily photos to enhance the discussions on the list.

Some people would need to be instructed on setting up a FB page with the correct privacy and alert setting, and list posters would simply mention the photo postings so folks can look if they want to.

This is how I use the Vanagon FB page, and I don't post at this time.

I'm sure Ben is up for moderating another site!
